House. Circa 1850. Volcanic ashlar; volcanic stacks topped with C19 brick; slate
roof. 2-room plan cottage facing south with end stacks, that to left (west) shared
by contemporary 1 Prospect Place. 2 storeys. 2-window front with central plank
door in flat-arched doorway behind flat-roofed C20 porch. Left-hand side has 2-
light timber mullioned windows. To the right a projecting flat-roofed ashlar bay
with matching 3-light mullioned windows facing forward and single lights in the
flanks. All lights contained 21 small panes except for bay flanks which have 14.
Gable-ended to right and pilaster buttress marking division to left cottage.
