Block of mansion flats, 1879. R Norman Shaw. Red brick; slate pitched roof.
Queen Anne style. Five storeys plus two storeys in roof. Twelve main bays
wide. Bays 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 paired under scrolly gables; intervening bays
set back. Arched links to second and third floors. Wrought iron balconies to
second, third and fifth floors. Sash and casement windows, small panes and
glazing bars. Segmental headed windows in triplets. Tall chimneys. Three
coupled arched entrances on south front. Forms a group with Nos 31 to 48 and 49
to 82, qv.
