2 houses. C17 origins, major extension early C18, rear further altered C19
and C20. Rendered, double roman tile roofs. Roadside house extended with
principal garden wing. Garden (east) elevation, 2 storey, 4 windows, 18-pane
glazing bar sashes with thick bars except one first floor insertion with
8 panes, 8 panel door off-centre right under flat hood on floreate corbels,
later pitched roof with protruding eaves; to right, lower, earlier house has
2 storeys under a hipped roof, 1 C19 casement below paired sashes, rear
elevation, 3 windows as garden. Elevation at right angles to road (Grove
View); 2½ storeys, 3 windows, C19 glazing bar sashes, central gabled porch,
gabled eaves dormers. Interior: principal ground floor rooms completely
panelled with moulded dado rail and good moulded cornice which breaks forward
over windows, 8 panelled door, shutters intact, panelled staircase has
moulded handrail and turned balusters; chamfered stopped beam in room to
north.
