From C16. The south-east corner tower probably oldest part. Red brick 5 storeys
with high parapet. Ground floor forms entrance porch with 4 centred arches. Iron
studded door inside. String courses between floors. Casement windows but blocked
window spaces on top floor. North east wing C16 or very early C17. Red brick,
old tiled roof with tall chimneys. 2 storeys. 5 windows, casements with wooden
millions and transoms. Western elevation has 2 gabled dormers. The south west
wing (the Georgian House) is late C18/early Cl9. Red brick with modillion cornice
and castellated parapet. 3 storeys. 2 windows, large sashes with glazing bars.
St Margarets Priory forms a group with the Old Malt House.
