Former home for orphan girls, later an old people's home. 1914. By John Bilson of Hull. Brick with ashlar dressings and plain tile roof with two side wall and two rear wall stacks. Late C17 Domestic Revival style. Plinth and first-floor band.

Two storeys; eleven-window range. C-plan. Windows are glazing bar sashes with slight segmental heads. Central projecting ashlar entrance bay has an eighteen-pane sash with an eared and shouldered surround. To its left, an eighteen-pane sash, then two twelve-pane sashes. To its right, three twelve-pane sashes. Below, a moulded ashlar doorcase flanked by rusticated pilasters, with a panelled door. Flanking wings ave dentillated open pediments and two eighteen-pane sashes on each floor. Returns have two through-eaves pedimented dormers.
