Wall. Early C19. Ashlar with edged herringbone tooling. Parapet string and crenellated parapet; square turret-like projections opposite and emphasizing the towers of the stables (q.v.). The wall forms the north eastern termination of the boating lake and acts as a retaining wall to the carriageway in front of the stables (q.v).

This item forms part of the important garden layout at Alton Towers (q.v.) which is included at Grade I on the HBMC Gardens Register. Included for group value.
