Pair of houses. One lintel reads: "WJR 1861". For dye works company. Stucco with pebble-dash, and slate roof. Two storeys, two gabled bays; returns have gabled projections. Pebble-dash first floor with stucco strips to angles; wide eaves and verges. Plain barge boards and finials. Windows have chamfered reveals and label moulds; casements. Entrances to return projections have label moulds. Central stack.

An interesting example of early workers' housing.
