GV II

Pair of cottages. Early C19, possibly incorporating parts of an earlier
building; later additions and alterations. Painted roughly coursed slate-stone;
artificial slate roof. 2 storeys. Five C19 casements directly below eaves,
3 to left and 2 to right of ridge stack with painted brick top. Ground floor
has one C19 fixed-light window and one C19 casement to left and one C19 casement
to right of C20 glazed porch over C20 glazed door to Clematis Cottage (left).
Penleat Cottage (right) has C20 round-headed window to left and C19 casement
to right of plank door with strap hinges, both doorway and right window with
granite lintels. Straight joint immediately to right of ridge stack.
