Two cottages. Probably C17. Slatestone rubble and possibly cob rendered to front
with corrugated asbestos roof and stone stack with weathering for thatch to left
gable and lateral stack to rear of No. 16. Probably originally 2 room through
passage plan now with rear wing to No. 16. 2 storeys. Scattered fenestration. 4
windows to first floor. Original door opening left of centre. Window to left and
one to right and door to far right probably later insertion. Windows are 4 paned
sashes with horns and doors are C20.
Rough oak lintel was removed from hearth in No. 17 when modernised but interior of
No. 16 is less altered. Included for group value.
