Small marine villa. c.1845-55, altered. Brown brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Double-depth single-fronted plan with back extension. Two storeys and two windows; with plain frieze, moulded cornice, and blocking course. The doorway, to the right, has a doorcase with fluted pilasters, panelled door and rectangular overlight with radiating glazing bars; above this is a narrow window with raised sill and chamfered rectangular lintel, sashed without glazing bars; and to the left is a two-storey canted bay window with altered glazing. Chimney coupled with that of No.14 adjoining to the left.

Forms group with Nos 13 and 14 (q.v.), and with Nos 15 and 16 to the right (q.v.), and is part of a noteworthy mid-C19 seaside development of villas and boarding houses.
