Public house. C17 with early C18 front. Painted brick with
timber-framed rear wing; tile roof with brick end stack.
Georgian style. L-plan. 2 storeys with attic; 2-window range.
Late C19 shop front has panelled pilasters and entablature,
etched plate-glass window and entrance with overlight to
6-panel door and 2 lanterns; entry to right end with C20
panelled door. 1st floor has windows with rubbed brick flat
arches over 16-pane top-hung casements; 2 hipped dormers to
attic. Rear wing has square framing to 1st floor. Interior:
chamfered beams, those to front room supported by C19 iron
columns. Upper floors not inspected.
