Two houses. Circa 1600, underbuilt, refaced and eaves raised in early
C19, and mid- to late-C19 additions. Pebble-dashed timber frame with
slate roofs. Two framed bays with later framed bay over former
carriageway to right. Two storeys to left and three storeys to right. C20 stack at
front off-centre to right. Left-hand block: 2-window front, late-C20
casements; C20 glazed door in right-hand return front; Right-hand
block: late C19, one 2-light casement on first and second floors;
former carriageway beneath. INTERIOR: evidence of former first-floor
jetty to left-hand block, underbuilt during alterations, probably in
the early C19 (c.f. No. 54, Church Street g.v.). Included on account
of concealed construction.
