2 houses of one build. Mid-late C18. Hammer-dressed rubblestone,
stone slate roof. Hallway entry. 2 storeys, 6 first-floor windows. To
left: 6-panel double-door in milled stone surround flanked by sashes with
glazing bars To right 6-panel double-door in pilastered doorcase carrying
Doric entablalture, with 2 sashes with glazing bars to right. First floor:
sashes with glazing bars. Milled stone surrounds to windows throughout.
Lead down-pipe with moulded rainwater head. Gable coping, shaped kneelers,
banded end and ridge stacks. Interior of Langhorne House contains original
staircase with slender turned balusters and 6-fielded-panel doors to main
rooms. Some H-L hinges survive.
