GV II

Stable block. Early C19. Red brick, slate roof. Long
rectangular block. Single storeyed. Central pedimented block
with lower side wings with hipped roofs. Door and window
openings have gauged brick voussoirs. Extension in similar
style to E and pantiled lean-to to W. Centre block has a pair
of 2-leaved doors (renewed) in blind round arched recesses.
Pediment has central round window. Side wings each have a
central door (C20 renewed) with semicircular window each side
set in a blind recess. Above each wing is a ventilating cowl.
The E addition has a C20 2-leaved door and a segment headed
window with a fixed pane. Mascalls (qv) and its stable block
form a group.
