3 houses forming part of a terrace. 1830s. Flemish bond
brickwork with light headers on chamfered plinth, Nos 38 and
40 stuccoed over. Common graduated greenslate roof; original
end and ridge brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays each.
Steps up to left and right panelled doors and radial patterned
fanlights (except that to No.38) in recessed stone surround
within a brick arch. Between Nos 38 and 40 is a
through-passage doorway of similar detail to front doors. Sash
windows, most C20 imitations in plain and brick reveals and
painted stone sills. INTERIORS not inspected. These properties
are shown on the 1840 tithe map.
