Corner house with No 3A, ground floor modern shops. Dated 1656 timber-
framed and plastered. Tiled roofs. 2 storeys, attics and cellars. Wings
extend north and west. Upper storey projects on east and south sides of
No 4 with heavy diagonal bracket to the south projection and similar
brackets at angles of gable on east side.

The Scheregate and Nos 1 to 4 (consec) form a group
