Small house. C16 altered in C20. Rendered cob walls. Gable ended thatch roof.
Rendered stack at right gable end and rendered rubble stack at rear axial to
adjoining property.
Plan: 2-room plan with rear wing at left-hand end now partly in adjoining property.
Larg right-hand room heated by gable end fireplace.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2-window front of C20 2-lignt casements, single
light window on ground floor to left dormers to first floor windows. Central gabled
C20 porch with panelled and glazed door behind. Left-hand end of house is recessed
and gabled.
Interior: Rignt-hand and central room (originally one) have deep richly moulded
cross beams. Fireplace in right-hand room has dressed granite stone jambs and
wooden lintel, partly obscured. Roof inaccessible at time of survey but feet of
substantial trusses with threaded purlins visible in first floor rooms suggest that
it is early.
