TF 19 SW CLAXBY ST. MARYS LANE

9/1 Corner House

House; c1830, with C20 extension to right. Yellow brick with
red brick dressings, hipped slate roof with 2 ridge stacks and a
single wall stack. Two storey 3 bay facade with red brick
plinth and raised eaves band with overhanging eaves with roll
moulded cornice. In the centre front is a tall semi circular
headed 6 pane stair window at mezzanine level. To either side,
at ground floor and 1st floor level, are single glazing bar
sashes with segmental red brick splayed arches. The
entrance porch is on the left hand side front and has a flat roof
with bracketed cornice, a 6 flush panelled door and bordered
overlight. The interior has a moulded elliptical arch from
entrance hall to stair hall.
