2 adjoining cottages. C17. Painted slatestone rubble and cob walls. Asbestos slate
roof with gable ends, probably originally thatched. Axial stone rubble stack
mentioned in former list description, removed. Left cottage, 2 room central passage
plan, right cottage 1 room, end-entry plan. 2 storeys. 2 window and 1 window road
fronts. Left cottage has central doorway now partly blocked and with horned 12-pane
sash. Hornless 16-pane sashes, left and right. Wooden lintels over ground floor
windows with heavy ovolo moulding, slate sills. 2 first floor closer spaced windows
have old 20-pane, 2-light casements. Right cottage has doorway, right with C20
glazed door, 16-pane hornless sash left and 16-pane 2-light casement over.
Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
