Completed by 1854. By Lockwood and Mawson for Titus Salt. Hammer-
dressed stone. Welsh slate roof. End houses are 3-storey, the
rest 2-storey, one bay each. End houses project. Each house has
a plain entrance and a single window to each floor. Some inserted
bathroom windows. Paired stone brackets to gutter. At each end
is the single bay of the end houses which have round-arched
archivolted ground-floor openings, square-headed lst-floor openings
on sill band and wooden brackets to gutter. Hipped roofs. Two-
bay return facades.

The end houses are more architectural because of their visual importance
in Caroline Street and Albert Terrace.
