Two dwellings incorporating old brewhouse and garage. Brew House C17,
Farmhouse probably late C18, the left bay probably C20. The old brewhouse
probably late C18, garage late C19. All altered. Coursed squared rubble.
Stone slate roof. Two storeys, brewhouse and garage one storey. The two
dwellings are in one range of 3 plus 3 bays, with the garage to the left of
the farmhouse and the old brewhouse attached to the rear of Brew House. The
garage has a segmental-arched doorway and a stone parapet. The farmhouse has
C20 windows to left and 2 bays of windows in plain square surrounds, all with
C20 casements. Brew House has a quoined entrance flanked by 3-light
double-chamfered windows (mullions missing and C20 casements), all with
hoodmoulds, that to door with square stops. One 3-light altered window, as
before, to 1st floor. Entrance to right, with single window above and a
large casement window to 1st floor left, all C19 with C20 casements. Two
brick ridge stacks. Rear of Brew House: mainly altered windows but one
3-light double-chamfered window with hoodmould to ground floor. The old
brewhouse is separately roofed with concrete tiles and has quoins and a
6-light flat-faced mullion window.
Interior: large fireplace in Brew House with imposts and keystone. Central,
large-scantling, re-used truss to old brewhouse.
