House. Probably C17, extensive c19 alterations. Limestone rubble, partly
rough-cast; Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys with attics, 5 windows to 1st floor,
lean-to addition to left return, single-storey additions to rear left and rear
right. C19 panelled door to right of centre has overlight with glazing bars and
projecting ashlar surround with cornice and peaked blocking course. Canted bay-
window to right has 4-pane sash and hipped, lead roof. 16-pane sash window to
left flanked by casements with glazing bars. Lean-to addition to left-has old
2-light casement with glazing bars. lst floor, left, has casement with glazing
bars flanked by similar but larger casements. Two 4-pane sashes to right set at
higher level. Yellow brick end stacks, matching ridge stack to left of door.
Corner Cottage to left is entered from rear. Large buttresses on right return
formed from remains of demolished cottages.
