3 houses and Public House forming a terrace. Early C19. Red sandstone coursed
rubble with split cobbles; Habberley Cottage with raised V-jointed quoins; Hope
& Anchor Inn has painted rendered walls; graduated greenslate roof to left,
Greenside and Hope & Anchor Inn with Welsh slate roofs; brick chimney stacks. 2
storeys, 3 bays each; Greenside divided into 2 houses. Habberley Cottage was
built first: panelled door in pilastered surround with console bracketed
cornice, C20 sash windows. Greenside: panelled doors in shared plain stone
surround; 2-pane sash windows in plain stone surrounds. Hope & Anchor Inn:
C20 rendered porch; 2-pane sash windows in plain stone surrounds. These
buildings have G.V. with Solway House.
