Entrance gateway to St Michael's Mount. Built in 1885. Dressed granite brought to course and granite dressings.

Plan: Large doorway with flanking integral screen walls, smaller doorway in right hand screen wall. Adjoining cemetery wall left (east) and lodge, right. Tudor Gothic style. Four-centred arched doorways with hoodmoulds. The large central carriage doorway has a double-chamfered arch over moulded jambs. The coped wall is crow-stepped over the doorway and over the middle of the doorway is the St Aubyn Arms. Flanking the doorway are weathered buttresses. Framed doors with original ironwork.
