- of Helland Barton

Well house and garden wall. Circa mid to late C18. Stone rubble. High stone rubble
wall with buttresses and pitched slate cap encloses garden to east of Helland Barton.
Wellhouse in centre of north wall; situated over field spring. Dressed stone round
arch, the interior with a rectangular well sump and slate shelves. Slate runnel
carries excess water through centre of garden.
The house, Helland Barton, although considerably remodelled and extended in circa
1840s retains several circa early C17 features.
