House, adjoining cottage and former forge. Probably C18. Rendered rubble and cob
walls substantially rebuilt in the C20. Wheat reed thatched roofs. Rendered chimney
over external stack at left-hand gable end, similar axial stack over cross party wall
towards right.
Plan: 2-room-plan house, extended with 1-room-plan cottage over lower ground on the
right probably in the C18 and also extended at right angles behind.the left-hand side
with former forge at probably about the same time. Service room outshuts behind the
house and cottage may also be C18. C20 extension behind the right-hand side of the
house. Much C20 renewal of the original fabric.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Overall 4-window south front. 3-window front house on the
left and 1-window front cottage at lower level on the right. C20 doors and windows.
Interior: Not inspected.
