Row of three houses. House to left dated on datestone S L A 1935.
Two cottages to right of this of mid/late C17 date. Left hand cottage is
of English garden wall bond, that at right of timber framing with
brick infill. The central cottage is rendered with pebble dash but
probably timber framed in the same manner. All have slate roofs.
Entrance front: Left hand cottage of 3 bays roughly symmetrically
disposed. Bands of 2 bricks depth between floors and above first
floor. C20 gabled porch slightly to right of centre with 1/2-glazed
door and decorated barge boards. Two-light C20 windows to either side
of ground and first floors. Central blank panel to first floor with
wedge head of rubbed brick containing rectangular datestone also with
wedge shaped head of rubbed brick and projecting keystone. Above the
upper band is a sunken panel containing a small pediment formed of
stretchers and flush with the main wall surface. Central cottage is
slightly recessed. Rendered walling with C20 porch to right of centre
containing C19 doorway. Three-light C20 casement windows to right of
this and mezzanine 3-light window to left. Two 3-light first floor
C20 casement windows. Cottage at right has exposed small framing in
projecting plinth of 5 x 4 cells, the top most row of uprights being a
later addition probably of 1735 when the left hand cottage was built
and the roof height of the right hand cottage raised. Three-light C20
ground floor casement window. Right hand reveal has 6 x 3 cells of
small framing with imposed C20 gabled porch to right hand side and
3-light cambered headed casement window to left, and similar 3-light
and 2-light windows to left and right respectively of first floor.
