Cl7; 2 storeys with attics; timber-framed and plastered, hipped tile roof;
ground floor of front refaced with modern bricks; remodelled C18;dentilled
wooden eaves cornice with some C17 carved brackets below; 2 gabled projecting
blocks at back and old chimney stack; old chimney on North end, with grouped
diagonal shafts shortened and replaced by later top. Early C19 brick West
wing, sashes with glazing bars, hipped slate roof.
The interior has several rooms with C17 Panelling, a good staircase, and
some C18 fittings. (RCHM 337).
Nos 18 to 30 (even) form a group with No 55.
