TL 50 NW BOBBINGWORTH GAINSTHORPE ROAD
1/13 New Farmhouse

GV II

House, C16 or earlier. Half 'H' plan with C20 alterations and additions.
Timber framed and rough rendered with red plain tiled roof and gables to
crosswings, between which is a C20 extension with central gabled dormer and
gabled, open, tiled porch. 2 storeys. 3 window range ground floor, 1:1, to
first floor of C20 leaded casements. C20 plank and muntin door. C20 external
red brick chimney to left crosswing and off-centre rebuilt C20 attached diagonal
shaft red brick chimney. Internally bridging joists are stop chamfered and
in one room all floor joists are stop chamfered. There are remains of C17/18
panelling and one panelled door. Halved and bridled scarf to top plates.
