Cottage. Mid C17-early C18 with extensions. Square-panelled
timber framing with painted brick infill; painted limestone
rubble, most of cottage now rebuilt or encased in painted brick;
thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching and painted brick
stack. Rectangular main body with an extension to the west gable
end and at right angles to rear. l½ storeys. South front, facing
churchyard: two C19 metal casements with blind segmental heads and
shutters, similar C20 casement to the single-bay extension to the
left; 2 eyebrow dormers lit by canted 4-light oriel windows to the
first floor. C20 stable type door with 6 glazed panes at the
centre of the main body. The ground floor of the right gable end
is lit by a flat-roofed bow window with glazing bars; two 2-light
wooden casements to the gable. Bow window similar to that
described to the C20 extension at the rear. Former gable-end stack
now incorporated within later extension. Interior not inspected.
