and Pool Orchard


Former farm buildings now converted to 3 dwellings. C17, converted
C20. Coursed, squared and dressed limestone. Limestone slate roof
with flat cable coping and roll-saddles. C20 stone, and artificial
stone stacks. Left wings parallel to road, extended back on right.
The former single storeyed, the latter of 2 storeys. Irregular
fenestration. 2 and 3-light, C20, flat-chamfered, stone mullioned
casements with metal windows with leaded panes. Building adjacent
to picturesque duck pond and Pool Farmhouse (q.v) at centre of
village. Listed for group value only.
