1840-50 tall 4 storey pair of 2 bay houses with shops, the upper floors adapted as
workshops at early date. Good red brick elevation with flat gauged brick arches to
sash windows, block stucco sills. First floor windows have stucco heads with
consoles supporting cornices with pediment blocking courses. Stucco bed mould to
main frieze projecting boxed flat eaves. Low pitch slate roof with central stack.
Common fascia to shop fronts flanked by double console brackets. No 2 shop front
retains cambered arch heads to windows and central entrance.
