POOL BANK (east side),
Nos. 27 to 39 (odd)
Terrace of seven houses. Nos. 31 to 35 built 1899, destroyed in
war and rebuilt c1950. By Wilson and Talbot. Pebbledash with
stone dressings,tile roof. Two storeys, seven bays, the end bays
projecting under gables. Stone base to sill level. Windows
have flat mullions and drip moulds, leaded glazing, most of
four lights. End 3rd and 5th bays have 5-light bow windows
those to end bays of two storeys. 1st-floor 3rd and 5th bays
have 5-light windows. Round-headed entrances with brick
surrounds to 3rd, 4th and 5th bays, 2nd and 6th bays have
elliptical-headed entrances with stone surrounds and triple
keys; all have plank doors and small-paned lights. Eight stacks.
Rear similar, ends gabled, some privies.
