The west part of a mid-Victorian Gothic terrace set back from the street to the
west of St John's Church. 3 storeys plus attics and basements. Red brick with
pattapled window and door heads. Yellow brick stringcourses and ashlar sillbands.
Slate roof with some original 1/2-hipped dormers with paired lancets. Moulded eaves
with brackets. 1 and 2-light pointed windows, those to 1st floor with strainer
arches, punched detail and nook shafts. Canted bays to ground floor. Mostly sashes,
casements to 2nd floor without glazing bars. Pointed ashlar arches to each doorway
with marble shafts and foliated capitals. Wooden doors with metal strapwork hinges
up steps. Part of the ensemble with the Corner House Hotel and St John's Church.

All the listed buildings in Park Street (except St Paul's House) form a group together
with Nos 2 to 18 (even) Wellington Road.
