Holding sheds,now coach depot. Mid-late C19 for North Eastern Railway with
later additions and alterations. Probably by G T Andrews. Reddish-brown
brick in English garden wall bond, colourwashed to rear and to left range,
with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. Single tall storey, 2 bays with
range to left. Central entrance, double plank doors under round arch of
gauged brick. To either side are semicircular, multi-paned fixed-light
windows under round arches of gauged brick and with continuous sill band.
Overhanging eaves. Roof hipped to left. Side stack. Range to left has
side entrance a glazed door and 12-pane sash under flat arches of gauged
brick.
