Temperance Hall, now Assembly Rooms.1843. Local, red brown bricks. Welsh slate
roof. 2 storeys. 5 bays, the central bay projects slightly and the side bays
are defined by pilasters. Central 6-panel door under oblong fanlight in pilastered
doorcase with projecting cornice flanked by 2 further entrances each having
4-panel doors under oblong fanlights and channelled cambered stone lintels with
keystones. 16-pane sashes to ground floor. 1st floor 2-course brick band. Plaque
over central entrances reads 'ASSEMBLY Rooms', 24-pane sashes to 1st floor.
Channelled cambered stone lintels with keystones to all windows. Oblong sunk
panels above 1st floor windows of side bays. Stepped brick cornice.
