4 houses, now 3. C18, linked in C20. Red brick painted, red tile roofs.
Dark weatherboarding to 1st floor W of link. 2 blocks of Ashridge Estate
houses at right angles, now linked. 2 storeys with 2 windows to each
house on 1st floor, the inner ones 3-lights, the outer 2-lights. Wooden
Yorkshire sliding casement windows with lattice leaded glazing and
segmental arches. Doors under outer windows originally but 3 blocked or
converted to windows. Battened double doors in link. 2-lights 1st floor
windows facing lane have a dummy light so as to appear of 3-light
externally. Timber strapped internal partitions. Chamfered cross-beams
have chamfer stopped to allow for staircase on sidewall next lane.
