12 yards south of the
south transept of the
Church of St Mary

GV II
Chest tomb and sarcophagus. 1804 and 1810. Sandstone ashlar. Moulded
base and cornice. Wide corner balusters with paterae. End panels each have
raised urn. Low hipped capping carrying small sarcophagus, itself also with
hipped capping. Scrolled feet with reversed batter to side and end panels.
Inscription on chest tomb is for (?) daughter of James and Sarah Clarke,
died 1804. Sarcophagus is for sons William,George and John, died 1810, 1813
and 1817.
