GV II

Pair of cottages; originally a terrace of three. C18 with early C19
alterations. One storey and attics. Timber-framed and plastered. Plaintiled
roof; three segmental-headed C19 dormers with mid C20 casements. An axial C18
chimney of red brick, and another at left-hand gable. Chestnut Cottage has an
early C19 small-pane sash with fluted architrave and cornice on console
brackets; and a 4-panelled entrance door with similar architrave and cornice.
Chestnut View has two early C20 small-pane casements. Two entrance doorways:
one similar to Chestnut Cottage but with 5-panelled door, the other has human
heads carved on the architrave.
