Dated 1731. Two storeys and attic. Five windows. Originally red brick
but refaced with stucco. Modillion eaves cornice. Central gable with modillions
treated as a pediment with an attic window in the tympanum and the crest
of a gryphon rampant below this. Half-hipped tiled roof with a chimney
stack on each side of the half-hip. Windows with slightly cambered head
linings and glazing bars intact. Doorway with flat hood on brackets, rectangular
fanlight and door of 6 fielded panels, surmounted by a small panel containing
a shield with the date 1731. On each side of the doorway is a narrow recessed
panel containing an iron 2-headed eagle arising from a coronet. These originally
stood on gate-posts at another house and have been brought here.
