Congregational church. c.1842 partially remodelled late C19. Squared coursed
limestone with ashlar facade. Welsh slate roof. Single-unit church with school
room attached to rear. Gable end, to rear, is a 3-window range at upper level.
Central fielded panelled double doors have rusticated surround with frieze and
pediment over. Flanking windows and upper windows are late C19 in original
openings. Arched glazing bars with Art Nouveau coloured glass. Square heads with
rusticated surrounds. Rusticated quoins at corners. Pediment over with moulded
cornice. Shallow gabled roof. Side elevations have tall windows with similar
glazing as main front, stone lintels with keyblocks. Single-storey school room
attached to rear. Interior: small panelled vestibule with 6 panelled doors.
Plain panelled pulpit with flight of steps and stick balustrade. Plain panelled
pews. Floor around pulpit, raised late C19.
