Public house. Datestone HP/1674, with later C17 stair turret and C19 extensions.
Squared coursed limestone, main range is now rendered and painted. Collyweston,
Welsh and artificial slate roofs, Originally L-shape plan. 2 storeys. 3-window
range. C17, two-storey, 5-light, ovolo-moulded stone mullion, canted bay window,
to right, has gablet over with ashlar parapet and kneelers. Other windows are
C20 casements with glazing bars and rendered heads. Central C20 door, has
similar head. Ashlar gable parapets. Remains of ashlar stack, now rendered,
project from right gable. Brick stack at left end. Datestone on bay window.
Single-storey 2-window range, attached to left, has C20 casements and artificial
slate roof. Rear elevation is similar with gabled stair turret at intersection
of wings; all with ashlar gable parapets. C19 lean to attached to rear.
Interior: ground floor rooms broken through. C17 fireplaces with moulded stone
surrounds and 4-centred arch-heads. First floor noted as having similar
fireplace.
