House and shop. C18 for Richard Rigby. Probably plastered brick. Red plain
tiled roof. Rear red brick chimney stack. 2 storeys and attics. 2 flat headed
dormers with 2 light casements. End pilasters. 5 window range of small paned
vertically sliding sashes, moulded surrounds, central window blocked. House to
left with plinths and 2 ground floor vertically sliding sash windows with horns.
Door to left, 6 panelled, reveal panels, capitals and bases to moulded
pilasters, frieze, moulded flat canopy. Shop to right has a shop window to left
and a pair of similar windows to right with a shop door between. Each window
with central glazing bars, moulded panels below and above, moulded side
pilasters with capitals and bases enclosing the panels, similar panel above and
to door. Fascias over, that above right windows now covered by C20 fascia.
Continuous canopy over all windows. q.v. 3/227.
