C18 mansion. Now a house of Tonbridge School. 3 storeys. 7 windows.
Red brick. Flanking the front and the centre window bay are pilasters
consisting of 2 vertical courses of red brick and one vertical course of
grey headers between. Brick stringcourses above ground and first floors.
Wooden modillion eaves cornice. Hipped tiled roofs. Glazing bars intact.
Porch with Doric columns, triglyph frieze and projecting cornice. Double
doors of 8 fielded panels each. The south front has 2 canted bays containing
1 window and 2 blocked window spaces each, on all floors. The north front was
rebuilt in Gothic style and an east wing added about 1878. Annexe to the south
in modern Georgian style connected with the original building.
