GV II
House, now shop and flat. Mid C17, converted and altered in
late C19; altered further in C20. Timber-framed and plastered
with rebuilding in red brick; plain tile roofs with cresting
and bargeboarded gable ends. Plan is of a main range with
offset gabled cross wing.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey front with slightly projecting cross wing
with attic towards left end. On ground floor, all shop windows
are of plate glass with glazed shop door towards right end. On
the first floor is one early C19 three-light casement window;
in cross wing attic, C20 casement. Right return: gable wall is
jettied to first and attic storeys, the upper jetty with
moulded and brattished bressummer. Ground floor lit through a
mid C20 plate-glass display window, first floor through an
early C19 3-light casement.
