House, now guest house. Early C18, with early to mid-C19 remodelling,
and mid- to late-C19 addition. Red brick with coursed limestone rubble
plinth and graded slate roof. 2 storeys and gabled-lit attic. Deep
eaves, and integral brick ends stacks. 3 bays; mid- to late-C19 wooden
cross casements, possibly echoing original arrangement; 3 steps to
central 6-panelled door (top 4 raised and fielded and bottom 2 flush)
with doorcase consisting of panelled pilasters, shaped brackets, and
flat hood. Mid- to late-C19 addition set back to left: roughcast
with painted stone plinth and graded slate roof with semi-integral end
stack to left. 2 storeys; 2 window front, late-C19 wooden casements with
thin mullions and transoms. Interior: early-C18 staircase rising 2
storeys; square well and 3 flights with landings; turned balusters,
closed string, moulded handrail, and square newel posts.
