House, now shop. C17, partly rebuilt in the mid- to late-C19. Rough-
cast timber frame with painted coursed limestone rubble plinth, front
rebuilt in painted and stuccoed brick; slate roof, hipped to left.
L-plan, 2 framed bays at right-angles to road. Semi-basement, 2 storeys,
and attic to rear. 2 ridge stacks to rear. 2 first floor mid- to late-
Cl9 segmental-headed windows, that to right with tripartite glazing
bar sash, that to left with replacement C20 two-light casement; late-
Cl9 shop front consisting of 2 plate glass shop windows flanking blocked
recessed doorway with fascia and cornice above; 6 flush-panelled door
to left (top panels glazed) with rectangular overlight; carriageway to
right. South front: exposed sole plate; C18 glazing bar sashes.
Interior: C17 queen-strut truss with V-struts in attic to rear; ground
floor front room with chamfered and stopped cross-beam ceiling.
