Shops. Circa 1840 of one build. Rubblestone and colourwashed stucco with a
shallow gabled slate roof with stone copings and end brick stacks. Each shop
of 3 storeys, one-window range. Below a deeply projecting paired ogee bracketted
eaves cornice the upper windows are 16-pane sashes set in moulded architraves.
Between these is a narrow window with C20 glazing. Canted glazed bays to ground
and first floors. 16-pane sashes to first floor, No 5 has lost the cornice from
its bay. Shop windows have lost their glazing bars. No 4 has an original 6-panel
door set in a moulded architrave with stopped roundels. Included for group value
only.
