Terrace of 8 houses. c.1869. Squared uncoursed limestone and limestone
rubble, tiled roof, brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic, 10 bays. Entrances
were originally at rear. Nos.5 to 9 have front doorways inserted C20.
Original rear doorways at Nos.ll and 12 with wood lintels and plank doors. All
windows have wood lintels. Nos.5 to 9 retain C19 sliding sashes, others have
C20 wood casements. Gabled dormer with horizontal sashes or wood casements.
Roof tiles laid in bands of blue and yellow. This terrace is said to have
been built by the Pierrepoint family of Evenley Hall as part of the development
of The Green in the mid C19.
