Public house. Mid-late C16 with late C18/early C19 front. Timber framed with
incised colourwashed render cladding and plain tiled roof under ridge crest. Two
storeys over cellar with red brick stack to left end and further stacks to rear.
First floor jettied and with moulded cornice above to base of parapet,partly
obscuring the roof. Three tripartite glazing-bar sash windows across the first
floor, one lower 12-pane glazing-bar sash window to right. Fixed windows to left
and right of centre on the ground floor in pilaster strip surrounds. Half-glazed
and panelled door to centre of ground floor; further door to right.
Interior:- Very large chamfered spine beam to cellar ceiling to rear of building;
spine beams and some wall plates exposed in first floor rooms.
